Isca Medical Centre

We are an NHS General Practice comprising 4 Doctors (3 GP Partners and 1 Salaried GP) and a number of other healthcare professionals including: 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners; 2 Practice Nurses; 1 Health Care Assistant and 1 Phlebotomist.

Community Midwives, Health Visitors and Counsellors also work from our premises.

We operate from 2 sites - Cadoc House, our main surgery, is in the centre of Caerleon, and Candwr Brook, our branch surgery, is located in Stokes Court in the nearby village of Ponthir. 

Wheelchair access to both buildings is via the front entrance, all patient services are provided at ground level and there is a disabled patients' WC at both sites.

Please note our telephone lines are open from 8.00am to 6.30pm each week day.

    Flu Clinics 2019

    We start flu clinics in September & October each year. The injected flu vaccine is offered free of charge on the NHS to anyone with a serious long-term health condition, including: - chronic (long-term) respiratory diseases, such as asthma (which requires an inhaled or tablet steroid treatment, or has led to hospital admission in the past), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema or bronchitis - chronic heart disease, such as heart failure - chronic kidney disease - chronic liver disease, such as hepatitis - chronic neurological conditions, such as Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease or multiple sclerosis (MS) - diabetes - problems with your spleen – for example, sickle cell disease or if you have had your spleen removed - a weakened immune system as the result of conditions such as HIV and AIDS, or medication such as steroid tablets or chemotherapy - being seriously overweight (BMI of 40 or above) This list of conditions isn't definitive. It's always an issue of clinical judgement so if in doubt please arrange to see one of our Doctors to discuss whether this is something you should have done.
