Family Planning Clinic

  • Additional InformationWe provide an extensive contraceptive service offering advice and a wide range of options for contraception care including oral contraceptive pills and long acting reversible contraception (LARC) options namely implants and depot injections. We no longer fit Mirena or Copper coils so if this is your preferred option please contact one of the local family planning clinics directly (for further information on this see our 'Self Help' page).

  • Additional InformationOn the day appointments for common minor illnesses including coughs, colds, sore throats and urine infections.  Patients are encouraged to refer to our self help information before making appointments

Travel Health

  • Additional InformationPlease make an appointment at least six weeks before your holiday to ensure adequate cover. A fee will be charged for vaccinations which are not covered by the NHS. You will need to collect a pre-travel questionnaire to be completed and returned with the appropriate fee before the appointment can be arranged.
    The surgery is an authorised Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre.

Vaccination Clinics

  • Additional InformationAn influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for the elderly and patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes and residents of nursing and rest homes. We also vaccinate children between 2, 3 and 4 years old. Please contact the reception staff in October for details of the vaccination dates and to make an appointment. If you are unable to attend the surgery, a home visit will be arranged to undertake this facility.

Non-NHS Examinations

The doctors are happy to carry out medicals, eg insurance and driving licence, by appointment outside surgery hours. Please contact Mrs Sally Allen at the surgery for an appointment. Reception can also advise you on the charges for these services.

Counselling

A counsellor is available upon referral from a Doctor.
